Quiet Mind was started by Ginger Dunaway with the intention of offering clients detailed, therapeutic, neuromuscular massage for pain and stress management. The end-goal being a quiet mind in which the client finally experiences a stress-free state. Here the body is able to heal itself and the mind is opened up to unlimited focus and intuition.
Ginger also loves to share the practice of yoga in which this same end-goal is achieved. The yoga practice can be taught so that the client can practice at home and achieve this stress-free state on their own as often as is needed. Massage and yoga both help clients increase personal awareness in their bodies and minds, and reconnect to spirit.

Ginger Dunaway is the owner of Quiet Mind and Founder of Choose Spirit Now, both serving the intention of helping people find ways to quiet the mind and reach that peaceful state. She received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama in 1998 and has been a Licensed and Nationally Certified Massage Therapist for the last 18 years. She received her certification in Professional Therapeutic Massage including Neuromuscular Therapy from the Mobile Institute of Soft Tissue Therapy in 1999 and has since been certified in Neurokinetic Therapy and Thai Yoga Bodywork.
Ginger (E-RYT 200) has been practicing yoga privately since 2001 and became a certified Kripalu yoga instructor in 2006 after completing 200 hours of training at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. She is a member of the Kripalu Yoga Teacher's Association.
Ginger shares her love for vinyasa "flow" yoga with a Kripalu-based approach to guide students toward a personal movement meditation practice. She has created ChooseSpiritNow.com as well as written Choose Spirit Now: Wake Up to an Exquisite Life (available through Balboa Press, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble) both designed to guide people in understanding and experiencing awakening

Therapist in Alabama for the last 9 years.

professional standards and careful attention to individual client needs. Michelle combines technical skills using a
variety of modalities with an intuitive sense to create an experience that is
uniquely developed for each visitor. Your individual session can be infused with modalities

Quiet Mind’s name came from several of Patanjali’s yoga sutras which are translated as:
"Yoga is the stilling of the thought waves of the mind." and
"Then consciousness takes on its true nature."
So when we quiet the mind, and rise above the mind, our true nature is revealed.
Patanjali studied and practiced yoga in great depth and wrote these sutras, or statements, on yoga anywhere from 600 B.C. to 300 C.E.
Yogis thousands of years ago studied the art of trying to quiet the mind. They did this first through seated meditation and later through movement meditation as well.
Through quieting the mind they experienced complete oneness, the True Nature of Spirit.
